BEST is actively present in 91 technical universities spread in 30 countries, where it acts as a bridge between universities, their students and the industry. For doing so, we develop different projects that aim at offering, for instance, international complementary education events, training opportunities or career support to our members and all the students of our universities.
BEST Louvain-La-Neuve, one of the Local BEST Group among the 91 technical universities, is creating a growing, well organised and powerful network with companies to bring all the partners in the "student - company - university" triangle closer.
BEST's main activity is to organise events. There are 3 main different types of events organised by BEST Louvain-La-Neuve, depending on their target group.
Academic Course
Each summer, BEST Louvain-La-Neuve gathers 20-30 students from more than 15 European countries who attend lectures, put in practice what they have learnt and discover our country with its unique culture. Academic courses are external events. Therefore, participants may come from universities members of BEST, but not necessarily BEST members.
Companies can for instance contribute by :
- Holding a lecture
- Leading case study
- Providing company visit
European BEST Engineering Competition
BEST Engineering Competitions are events where teams of students use their technical, social and communicative skills to compete in different categories: Team Design, Case Studies, Negotiation and Debates. Each Local BEST Group organizes its own Local Engineering Competition. The winners will compete on the National and Regional Competition. Finally, the final will gather winning teams from each country. This year, it will take place in Zagreb!
For this event, companies can contribute by :
- Holding a lecture
- Increasing its visibility
- Etc.
Case Study
Case studies can be organised on different topics proposed by companies for a specific group of students of the local university. The amount of participants generally range from 20 to 50 participants.
Beside those events, BEST Louvain-La-Neuve is still open for any kinds of partnership (annual partnership etc.). Finally, BEST Louvain-La-Neuve strongly believes that a cooperation with companies is also very useful for both parties. Similar corporate relations in the past, both in the academic and the economic field, have resulted in employment of our members.
